  • FSX Play not loading…..

Has anyone else experienced an issue where after they install FSX Play the program won’t move past the login screen?

The first time after I downloaded it it worked fine. The next time I went to start the application I get the spinning wheel of death with the login. I did notice there is a windows defender logo on the app for some reason and a warning asking if I want the app to make changes, I accept but it does not load.

wonder if anyone else has experienced this. Not sure if this is a windows issue, a windows security issue or a FSX Play issue

    appreciate any insight.

I have not seen this but there are a few things I do to make sure the program runs as smoothly as possible:
    • Run program as Administrator
    • Disable Anti-Virus and Firewall during download and installation of programs and courses
      • Some elements of the program will not download properly depending on your AV and FW settings
      • Some elements of the program will not install properly either - separate issue
    • Follow all the various optimization tips on the Support Software page for both FSX Play and FSX2020
I might suggest redownloading and re-installing the program per above and see if this clears the issue. I am assuming you meet the minimum specs for your computer (ideally exceed them)?

Thanks for the input. My system does exceed the recommended requirements. I did have antivirus on during download and install. I will try what you recommended with these disabled and see what happens. It worked fine after the first download but that was it. FSX Pro works fine with no issues.

I had the same issues, would get stuck “getting courses”. I called them and they remote logged into my computer and fixed it. Looked like they just uninstalled then reinstalled. Had to reinstall all my courses, so that was a bummer. I have great luck calling their tech support.

Yeah I called tech support yesterday and they walked me through deleting a few files and they seemed to do the trick.
