Finally ready to pull the trigger on a GCQ after selling SkyTrak. Deal would only include FSX Pro. Have lifetime TGC2019 license (purchased thru ProTee) I would transfer (via their fee) but want to ensure it will run with FSX Pro. Did some hunting for info covering TGC2019/GCQ/FSX Pro but did not find anything solid. Noticed a topic "Gc3 and TGC" where that FSX Pro was sufficient to run TGC with GG3. I don't see any red flags regarding the setup be figured it would be best to ask the experts here. Would appreciate your knowledge.

I have a GCQ and you do not need FSX or FSX Pro to run TGC2019. I would recommend looking into other software options before paying the transfer fee of TGC (send me a message if you'd like details, its a competitor of TGC and is frequently banned in this forum). Also, I thought that you needed an FSX license to get FSX Pro (they come together)? If the person you're buying this off of has an FSX account, have them give you the login information and you can just deactivate the license on their computer and then reactivate it on yours without involving Foresight. They'll probably want a transfer fee and you don't need it to transfer the software. You may have to transfer it if you ever need technical support in the future, but you can just pay it then.
One thing I'm not sure about, is if you need an FSX license to keep the Quad active. You didn't used to, but they're making people buy FSX now and I think it has to be connected to the internet once a month to remain functional.Last edited by wzjy47; 04-21-2023, 04:52 AM.
