  • Helpp with setting up gc3. No idea about wiring/cables!

    Hi guys.

Total newbie here and I really need some help setting up this sim.
I dont know what wiring/cables I need to run from what..
    i have the following..

    Panasonic vz580 projector
    Foresight gc3
    Gaming pc
    29inch monitor
Lg soundbar with arc hdmi. (Behind impact screen)
    Firestick (hdmi)

Can someone pleaseee tell what cables I need to run to get this up and running. I havent got a clue!

    Thank youu

Power + USB for GC3 if not using wifi. Ethernet optional if using USB or wireless.

Hdmi cables for your projector and monitor to your PC..could require Display Port for one depending on how many open ports in computer and graphics card.

Firestick plug into your projector’s second hdmi if it has audio output. You may need to run extra audio from projector to sound bar if not sufficient. Honestly don’t know if Fire Stick works on pc.

Edit: See below for comment RE Audio.

Vague question but hope this helps.

Perfect! Thank you for your advice.
      so..
      hdmi from projector to pc
      Hdmi from monitor to pc
      Firestick into projector

someone told me i should connect optical from soundbar to projector or you think i should do soundbar to pc?
also my soundbar has hdmi port. Maybe hdmi from soundbar to pc or projector instead of optical?
Lastly i have ethernet cable. Does that go into pc or gc3?
      sorry for all the questions..

      Thanks

        Could work, too.

If you’ve got HDMI Arc in the Soundbar, and 5 HDMI ports, then use Arc enabled HDMI cable for best quality output from the PC.

I’d consider ditching the fire stick and use the computer as a media station and just access the websites on your PC for your streaming service. One less device and the sound is already going to your sound bar from PC.

Ethernet is for device connectivity. Your device can connect to internet via your computer’s connection via usb or Wi-Fi connection.

Ethernet would be good if you were running a distance and usb wasn’t an option and Wi-Fi unreliable or being used by second computer.

The two ports on the projector could be a limitation in your setup with two HDMI sources. An HDMI audio extractor could be employed but I’m sure someone with professional experience has a more elegant solution.

My pc has 5x hdmi ports.
projector has 2 x hdmi ports
Soundbar is a sl7y LG and has optical and hdmi arc port.

I just use Bluetooth to connect my soundbar. Works great and one less cable.
