  • GC3 at the range

I just got my GC3 this past week and will be building an indoor sim at some point, but will currently be using it on the range and out at the course. I bought an iPad to use with it thinking it would be easier to be able to looks at the results and use FSX pro app to store the shots/sessions. Problem is that there isn’t Wi-Fi out on the range, so how do I connect the GC3 with the iPad? Is there Bluetooth, iPhone hotspot, or a wired connection that will allow me to utilize FSX pro without Wi-Fi?

thanks in advance from a launch monitor noob

I use mine on the range by hardwiring it to my iPad. I use the ethernet port on the BLP plugged into the USB-C port on the iPad. Buy an ethernet to USB-C adaptor and you'll be good to go.

You don't need to hardwire it to an iPad or a wifi network. The GC3 will make its own wifi network and you can connect your iPad to the GC3. That allows you to use FSX Pro.

Oh interesting! I just pulled up Wi-Fi on my iPad and saw the GC3 Wi-Fi. Do you know where I would set/find the password for it?

Where was this shown? I don’t remember seeing any of this in the packaging.

I believe it’s on the bottom of the unit. I vaguely recall seeing it on the underside at some point.
