GC3/FSX Play Putting Question

I seem to be unable to view the ball on the screen while on the putting surface in FSX Play. This causes issues with short putts as the view is at the flag and I’m unable to see green contours on shorter putts. Almost like it’s locked in a first player view

I’ve watched a handful of FSX gameplay videos and I’m noticing when others are putting, their ball is visible on the screen. I’m assuming I’m either missing a setting change somewhere or my room config may be off (although this appears accurate).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the chance I described it poorly, here are a few pictures.

This is what a 3’ putt looks like. It appears this way for anything within 9’, which also happens to be my DZ distance in the room config.


These next two show what a 10’ putt looks like for every gameplay video I see versus what mine looks like. Notice the 3.5 squares on the putting grid in picture 1 versus the not even 2 squares on mine.

I'm not sure of this but it looks like maybe your resolution is screwed up. I'd be thinking about trying to match the resolution of the game to the resolution of your projector and also the display resolution in windows. I think you need to picture resolution taller but not wider.

That was my thought as well but nothing else appears to be cut off. With that said, currently the PC, projector, and FSX Play are all set to 1600x1200.

I’ve also tested using a separate monitor as well as tested the following resolutions,

1920x1080
1650x1050
1600x1200
1400x1050

Definitely appreciate the follow up as this one is a bit annoying.

What projector are you running? What GPU do you have?

All set. Deleted the room config json file and let it create a new one. Same numbers for each input but for whatever reason, resolved itself.
