  • Poor Picture with 3070 and FSX Pro

Relatively new GC3 user and when using FSX Pro the graphics really aren’t that good. Kinda blocky and a halo like affect. It is usable but almost blurry? Setting is the second best. I can’t remember what Foresight calls it now. I can’t play on the highest setting.

GSPro looks great at Ultra setting

I have an Alienware laptop with a 3070 card.

    any thoughts?

The foresight visuals are flat out not very good and very unoptimised as you would expect from a company which is not really a game dev studio.
Screen shot would go a long way.

Firstly check the default NVIDIA GRAPHICS settings, right click desktop, set them all to default.
set screen rez to 1920x1080 and try and make sure that resolution is the same in the game settings.

It might be that your hardware is not fully supported, as the laptop gpu is not what these things are developed for. Either way, upgrade to the latest.
There are very limited options inside FSX to change, so providing you have reset the graphics and selected high or medium in game, there isn't much else you can do.
I assume your computer hardware and this is just an issue to this software?

If its blocky it usually indicates a low resolution, halo?
Would prefer to see a screen shot, but this halo effect is often tied to an FX setting like bloom, again, the game does not provide much in terms of fine tuning.

play around with the in game settings, maybe you can find something decent, but download latest driver, reset nvidia settings as described, then make sure rez is synced with desktop/game. Posting a screen or video will help x10.
