Rookie needs so help. Gc3 unlocked with no software

First time setting up golf simulator and thought I’d done enough research but did not. I bought a fully unlocked with club data, unregistered Gc3. I registered it and it says on my in my live account it includes FSX 2020, play, and pro. After some back and forth Foresight say the unit was sold directly to an individual with no software license. Of course they want to sell me a license. I have no interest in giving foresight directly a penny after my experience with them. I was just going to use other software but of course they force you to buy theirs before you can run outside software. Seems like great products but very deceptive business model.

Best to try to purchase a FSX2020 license from someone on a form like this or cut my losses sell the unit and go with a different company’s launch monitor?

Yes, Foresight can be a PIA, but the GC3 is really a great unit. If it were me, I'd keep it (full disclosure, I own one). Keep your eyes on the Classified Ads: Home Golf Simulators section in this forum and you're bound to find someone selling their FSX license.
