Listen I'm not interested in trading in my Quad at that price either. But before we get all outraged at Foresight (who have a pretty price-insensitive clientele), how much should they be charging me to trade in my 5 year old, $17,000 machine for a brand-new, upgraded one?
Like, there is no way on earth it's going to be $500 or $1000. These things have held their value well, but the depreciation on your unit was more than that the day you took it home. It would be more than that just to trade it for a new identical GC Quad. Unless they were planning to cut the price point of the MAX to below the Quad -- which would make Quad owners even more unhappy -- there is no way the upgrade trade could be less than 5 grand at the bare minimum.
