  • Mounting Falcon with offset to the right

    Hi,

I have 3.2m/10.5 ft in screen width and 3.65m/12ft in room width.
In order to swing my drive safely, I have to set up my hitting club zone about 15cm/6 inches to the right.
Do I also mount the Falcon offset of the same to the right?
Or I just mount the Falcon center and use the calibration to take care of the offset?

    thanks

The Falcon club hitting position is already offset Left and right (at least for the club data) somewhat is it not? Are you trying to offset the center position or the already offset position?

Yes I am trying to further offset the already offset position. This is in order for me to hit the driver safely due to the limit of my room width

I think in this case you would need to mount the Falcon in a position which would place the club hitting position in your desired location. Worth a call to tech support at FSX but that is how I would read it.

You can always adjust the center line within the software to compensate for the placement, the same way you can with the floor units within the room config section/file.

probably, too little, too late. But if you have to offset this so far to the right, it doesn't sound like a left handed player will be able to swing on the launch monitor which is kinda the reason to have a falcon. if you need it for one hand only, wouldn't a GCQ or GC3 be a better product for you??

I am outside US and I was told by the local dealer to mount it offset also. My main concern is so that the tee and the truestrike gel area is within the 17"x11" club data zone.

I have a GC3 for 2 years. Now I am better and I wanted club data.
I selected Falcon over GCQ because the golf sim is in a shared room with home theater and karaoke. So it is safer to have a ceiling-mounted unit.
The golf sim is mainly used by myself and my wife, both right-handed.
Of course with the Falcon, I can practice some left-handed punch out..lol
