    Reinstalling FSX Play

I’m having lots of problems with FSX Play. Perhaps that’s just the way it is, but I’m thinking about uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I’m not an experienced windows user, so I’m not sure what will happen when I uninstall it. I know how to uninstall, but will I lose all my courses, and information? Will I need to reenter my serial or username stuff? Is it worth the bother?
    thx for any input.

I’m in the same boot you are in. Anytime I want to uninstall and then reinstall FSX Play, I call them up and have the techs do it. Yes, it may take a little while for the call to go throught but it will be done correctly. In addition to that, they always check to make sure all of the updates are current. I have been very critical of Foresight since they came out with FSXPlay.and the problems they have had with it. However, I never had a problem with the tech people. They have been great and very helpful.

There is a process avail on-line to re-install everything without having to re-install each course separately. I did this just recently when I upgraded my gaming PC and had to re-install FSX Play. See here for details: New Sim PC - Copying Courses - Golf Simulator Forum

All your licensing and login info is stored on your FSX Live account so you should not have any issues there. If you go down this route, I would recommend uninstalling, then deleting any remaining FSX related folders before re-installing. Regardless, I had no issues installing on a new PC with all my existing courses and licenses.

      Good Luck.

Thanks a lot. This should help me out.

Well, I had no problems with the uninstall and reinstall. Your instructions were helpful. But FSX Play continues to malfunction in the same ways. I can’t tell if I’m the only one having these issues or if FSX Play is broken in same ways for everyone.
Is anyone out there having trouble after using a mulligan? The map unsticks from view and the camera view between shots is screwed up.
Oh well, I’ll just wait for the next update.

Also, I guess I could simply stop taking mulligans.
          Working...
