Putting and offset in FSX Play

I have some FSX Play issues some players might have experienced before, for the life of me I cannot resolve as I have tried every setting I could see.

I have two issues with FSX Play I have failed to resolve.
1st is a putting problem, is there anyway to change putting view so that the ball is displayed on the screen when putting, currently no matter what setting I use ball is not visible.

2nd issue is that when playing a course the quad will say 5 yards offline but in FSX Play it will say 20 yards offline and the ball will go 2\0 yards offline in FSX Play, the ball is being hit about a foot off centre on hitting screen and I wonder is that doing it?

    Any help appreciated.

    I'll try to help.

    1) It sounds like this could be one of two things, either resolution issues or room config issues. I'm assuming you're using a projector and if so, verify that the projector, Windows resolution, and FSX Play are all set to the same resolution. I had this sane thing happen when I first start and it was due to the resolution in FSX Play differing from the projector and Windows. If this doesn't fix it, take a look at the Room Configuration settings within FSX Play and verify that the screen dimensions are correct. I would also verify your measurements for DY and DZ are accurate as wellI had a friend who had the screen size not 'save' after first setup and we had to go back in to adjust (after the Resolution fix didn't resolve". Having an incorrect screen size can absolutely cause what you're experiencing.

    2) Are you playing with actual offset and if so, did you manually adjust the room configuration to said offset? Make sure that the DX number is accurate and represents the correct offset. Based off what you described, it seems like FSX play is set with zero offset but you're physically teeing it up a foot or so offset. While you may be hitting off just slightly, FSX Play is registering it as further off than it should be.

Many thanks ‘ENadeau’, makes sense to have the measurements accurate, I will try this tomorrow to see if this resolves the issue.
