  • GC Hawk lower mounting height

Hi there, Im new to the forums. I came across an used GC hawk at a very good deal and am thinking of upgrading to it. (currently using a mevo+ setup)
The only problem is the ceiling height on my basement is only 8.5ft (foresight recommended 9.5 minimum). Does anyone here have experience with Gc hawk mounting at a lower height?
My main concern is the impact on the accuracy of the device;s measurement. Any input will be appreciated...

I don't have a GC Hawk, but have a ProTee VX. My garage ceilings are 10 ft high. I think your ceiling height is going to be an issue. Just in general, are you even able to swing a driver without hitting the ceiling?

I think the only way it could work is if you were to somehow install the device up into the ceiling a bit (ie. kind of embedded into the ceiling)

Hi, currently I dont have problem swinging my driver. And just 4ft in front of my hitting mat (which is where the hawk is supposed to be) is a horizontal beam across, so even if I were to install the Hawk into the ceiling it wont be much maybe 1~ 2" at most
Working...
