Does GCQ need to be level with hitting mat?

A simple question for your Quad owners out there!

I’m away to order a Quad Max, and wondered if it has to be level with the hitting mat?
Currently I have a GC2 / HMT, and have them sitting on a Foresight cradle - which is a few inches off the ground. My hitting mat is about an inch and a half (4cm) off the ground, so I’m wondering if I need to get some sort of platform for the Quad to sit on so it’s level with the mat. I’ve never seen a picture of the Quad below the hitting surface, so I figure I’ll need to raise it - but I’m curious to see if anyone has tried it lower.

I was hoping to get away from that platform and just have the QuadMAX sitting on the ground, but at 4cm lower than the mat, I don’t think I can do that.

I’ve seen a GC3 platform available on Amazon… but I think the Quad has a slightly different sized base to the GC3 / Bushnell unit?

It should be level with hitting mat as best you can make it. Probably could be a touch higher then the hitting mat, but I wouldn't go lower.
