I'm new to the forum so please forgive if the following information is common knowledge, or covered elsewhere on this forum.
I recently purchased a Bushnell Launch Pro and had trouble getting past the login screen on both FSX Play and FSX Pro.
FSX Play Issue:
My PC is a gaming PC running Windows 11 Home
My home internet WIFI router is a Verizon Wireless Home Internet box (not sure of the model number).
After setting up an account with Foresight and connecting my Launch Pro to my home WIFI network, FSX Play would just lock up on login screen and stop responding.
I searched the internet and Foresight website for a solution. Long story short -- none of the white listing or other router security fixes did anything.
FSX Play Solution:
The actual solution was to disable IPv6 on my router for my home WIFI network. It appears that the Foresight authentication process requires the endpoint PC to have an IPv4 address. You could probably disable IPv6 on your PC device driver for just that PC, if disabling IPv6 at the router is not possible.
FSX Pro Issue:
After getting FSX Play to work, I still had a lot of problems with FSX Pro. I found it would not get past the login screen if the Launch Pro was turned on when I started the FSX Pro App.
FSX Pro Fix:
The easiest solution is to make sure the Launch Pro is turned off when starting the FSX Pro software. Once past the login screen, you turn it on and follow the pairing instructions.
During the pairing, I need to switch my WIFI connection to the GC3-XXXXXXX device and then continue with the pairing instructions. Doing so disconnects from the internet, so when I exit FSX Pro, my results are not properly transferred to the FSX live servers. After exiting, I shut down the Launch Pro, and reconnect my WIFI to my home WIFI and then start FSX Pro again so it completes writing the data to the online server.
I guess I assumed once the device was paired, it would stay paired and I wouldn't have to redo the pairing process every time. I also assumed it would be okay to have the launch monitor on when I started the FSX Pro software and it would be easier to transfer my data to the Foresight website. Silly me!
