Posted this in another thread, but I'll repeat here. Foresight continues to screw us by developing brand new software that requires another purchase rather than a courtesy upgrade. After getting suckered for both FSX2020 and FSXPlay, I'm out.

I have no issues paying $500 every few years to get latest software and free upgrades to my golf course catalogue with Foreisght, Foresight app is quite good now and with new updates coming out this week will be even better and it’s free if you own the hardware. I would prefer this than paying a never ending subscription.

I agree irishgolfer. It would not seem reasonable to expect that having bought the software in 2017 should entitle me to receive upgrades for free in perpetuity. I have gotten decent mileage out of FSXPlay, but if the new version looks like a real improvement I'll get it.

I think though for most that is not the point. Sure, if one wants the latest and greatest, it is reasonable to pay for it. But when the model is - release buggy software that takes forever to be fixed (or doesn't really ever get fixed properly) but roll all the "fixes" into a new paid-for version, this is where the company is losing support. Especially with other software enterprises are being updated on a monthly if not quicker basis ......

My two cents - and yes, I will probably buy it despite my comments so I am likely part of the problem ...... but winters are really long here !

This is what I was talking about. Rather than fix current software they abandon it and then charge us for the next great piece of software, which is inevitably buggy, won't get perfected and will be replaced in a couple of years. At least give loyal customers who have bought multiple software version in the past a significant discount on the new stuff.
