I know I am on Windows 10 and they are having a hard time with it, but there is no date for a fix. This would be unacceptable in any other business, where you spend a large amount on several courses only to realize they are virtually unplayable. Foresight's answer to me is be patient. Well I have since they announce FSX almost 2 years ago. I do like the company and the people are really nice, most of the time, but enough is enough. I wish I could get my money back for the courses and buy TGC, Perfect Golf, or both. BTW, is perfect golf going to be playable in a setting where it is just your friends, or is it mostly online?

I had it with Windows 8.1 and it worked pretty well. For some reason their software seems to tax the computer way more than it should, but it was playable. With windows 10, it has major glitches and tech told me they are working on a fix and should have it ready this week. I want to believe they will, but history tells me they won't. I am a low man on the totem pole to them, and that is why I don't think they should have gotten into the sim portion of the business. I will be acquiring new software, but I am going to see between Perfect Parallel and TGC. I am more so one to play with friends in the garage than online, so I don't know which one is more suitable. It seems that Perfect golf is possibly online heavy. I just want to play sim rounds and not against others till I get better.Comment

With TGC I read you can play offline but I have not found a list of courses that allow you to download for play offline. TGC is server based. Maybe Bubba has the list?Comment

You don't have to download them, they are downloaded automatically. I bought the PC version to check it out and asked Protee about the offline courses.
When your in the main menu just hit the go offline button on the right and then go to play a course and you will see a 100+ course list of courses you can play offline. I tried it and it works. You can not select any course you want and download it. The list is what it is and what you can play offline.

Get TGC for sure and you can play with your friends in the garage and not have to play anyone online but is does need to be connected to the internet to download the course your going to playComment

I can easily connect to the internet, that is not a problem at all. Does it limit the amount of courses that you can play if you aren't playing online. I would think as long as you are connected, you would be able to search for all courses. Is Perfect Golf online only?Comment

When people talk about playing on line, you can play on your own, not in a tournament, just pick any course and play with up to 4 people. If you loose internet connection or have none you are limited to being able to play the 100 or so in the list that comes up in off line mode. Not 100% on this but I think the course loads its info first and once you start playing, even if the internet connection is lost, you might still be fine to keep playing. But if you wanted to quit and start another course you would need the internet connection again.

Thanks SFR!! That is the answer I was looking for. I like the option to play in online tournaments in the future, which TGC offers, but at this point it will be mostly a couple buddies coming over to play. I have also heard the same thing about being connected allows you to load the course and will hopefully keep it on the computer. I plan to always be connected, so the course amounts seem endless.Comment
