Evaluating the GC2-T

Hi,

Just received the GC2-T and have been practicing with my son, and it performs very very well. I feel it is more forgiving on placement than the traditional GC-2 .I really like its small shape and it has an indestructible armadillo style casing. I have used the traditional style Gc2 at Golf Tec many times and It didn't lock onto the driver and irons as easily. The cameras on the T version are very low compared to the Battery version, maybe that something to do with it. It was a package that included the PC computer, monitor and FSX software. With has games, range and a course. The games are fun when just a range might be boring. Hit over water to a bunch of different distance island greens and get points based on closet to the hole. Hit out windows in some old buildings, great for those low stingers under trees. All in all very happy!! This was a slightly used ( 8 months) system , from a an indoor golf and virtual driving range that went under in Texas. The seller has 4 more GC2 T and 5 Full Swing units for sale. Pm for info.

The only thing I wonder about is using a GC2-T with other software like TGC. Seeing how the GC2-T does not have the LED screen to show where you place the ball but rather (and this is what I get from reading) has the ball placement show up in the actual software (Foresight's). So if not using Foresight software, how easy is it to know where to place the ball and is there any indication on the unit to show that the ball was placed proper and ready to hit. I also read some where that a user thought the hitting area was smaller than what the GC2 would have and thus make it harder to move the ball around when hitting without having to place in the exact same spot.

If a GC2-T worked well with TGC software it may be an option to use with both right and left handed players depending on where it's hitting zone is compared to the T marker it self.

So joeycalda, if you could post how far back and to the side you place the ball from the T marker that would help with knowing if the left and right issue would work better with that unit.

Next would be if anyone used a GC2-T with other software and how easy it is to place the ball in the hitting area?

Its exactly 26 inches away from the nearest edge and about two inches in front. It picks up everything. Really Really easy to place in the hitting area.... lots of room IMO. Just to clarify it's 26 to the side and 2 inches back. It has a green light on the unit to let you know when your in the zone.
