I reported the listing on Saturday morning after having read this string earlier this month. Don't want anyone who hasn't visited the forum to get hosed by this guy.

I am close to pulling trigger on gc2...taking with Foresight direct. Any disadvantage to this approach? Should I be trying to buy retail?

Oh yeah... Make sure folks distinguish new vs refurbished. Both would come with the warranty, but you should pay a good deal less for refurbished if that's what they are selling you.

This one is legit but you might want to ask the seller for the model and serial number. I suspect it's an older unit, which means the Bluetooth will only work with Android devices.

Do you guys remember the ebay username of the guy running the scams? Some dude did everything you just said, posted a picture for the description, wanted you to email him etc. He is asking $2000 for it. Sent me the email asking to give me your name and "username so i can contact the eBay to send you an invoice containing all the steps that you need to follow for this to be a safe and fast transaction." I assume scam? ha

Yes, thats the same type of scam. Report it to eBay and it will be removed.

For $700 more they could have had a new unit with no worries.
