Hey all, I am just one word away from making this dream a reality- that word, is "yes" from my wife. I have waited several years and think I have enough points saved up to make this happen.

I would truly appreciate any comments on concerns based on this plan.

Having the best possible graphics is a top priority. I think the GC2 will be accurate enough for what I want to do.

I am going to go GC2 with TGC.

I may splurge and get a 980 graphics card if people think that will make a big difference. Will be running at 1080.

Thoughts on Cory's Raw screen material vs his finished- pretty big price difference, but I cant sew.

Let me know any thoughts or concerns. -- Should I move the PJ back a bit so it isn't directly overhead, although at 10-11 ft off the ground, I don't see how I could hit it with my club.

Decided to change the orientation due to some ventilation soffits. This will allow me to have a 19x 10 ft screen. According to the projector central program this will give me 17 ft Lamberts which I am told will be pretty bright. Pj is an optima with 3500 lumens.

Also did some more thorough measuring.

Ceiling is 129 inches. Will have an 8 inch step so pj if mounted on the ceiling will be 10 ft above me.

Anyone see any issues with this setup and such a large screen?

I didn't have room for anything other than a short throw pj so 3500 lumens will have to do I guess.

I was actually going with the same projector. Did you ever get to compare it against the EH200ST? The 200 has a better contrast ratio 20k vs 15k on the 415 but has 500 less lumens.

Par2 pro screen material is only 10 ft max.

I guess 17.5 is about as wide as I can go.

Keep in mind that the fL number you have there is for *data/text* and not *video/games*. When you change that it drops to only 10 fL, and says *recommend higher brightness*.

In movie theater want high contrast ratio and lower lumens. In sim want more lumens since projecting large image. But also determined by ambient light, screen size, etc. I recommend getting one with the higher lumens. I like the big
    screen.

I've been under the impression to ignore contrast ratio, but usually applies when I'm comparing two different brands.

      This is why: http://www.projectorcentral.com/contrast_ratios.htm

I'd love to go higher lumens but I don't have the room. I only have like 15 ft max to throw.

3500 is the highest lumen short throw that I could find.
