Good looking Foresight on ebay today

Anyone see the gc2 up yesterday where the buyer said he'd take $3,000 in the listing and take it off eBay? Looked like a good new-ish unit , had 60 feedback 100% , was going to message him this morning, but the listing disappeared, someone had a tremendous deal I think, although strange strategy from the buyer considering they are going for 4k in slightly worse condition

Asking to do the deal off eBay = violating the TOS (and likely fraud). Simple as that. Someone probably reported the auction and got it pulled.

High feedback scores on a scam are rare, but I have seen them. One way or the other, absolutely not worth risking unless he is local and willing to deal in person. Too many scams out there, ESPECIALLY with GC2s.

This one says it has power adapter only....does that mean no USB (aka no-go)?

Actually this one doen't look half bad. Serial number on back starts w 'A' which I think it means it's an Apple-compatible GC2a unit (which are also newere supposedly). Only concern I have is the crack (and maybe been dropped) pointed out by Ookie.

I'm going to make him an offer but I'm a littler nervous that it suffered some serious impact damage causing that crack. also who knows how the flash and battery are doing

Yep. The one person who definitely doesn't know is the seller, which is a pawn shop.My preference is to buy from an original owner with an established history (e.g. feedback). I'm not saying that I wouldn't consider one from another source, but the price I am willing to pay drops accordingly.
