GC2 simulator software questions

Hello I am new to this form, I have the GC2 which i've only used outdoors. I am turning my one car garage into a home simulator set up. I have no idea which software will work with my GC2, I would love a driving range and maybe a few nice courses to play. Can anyone help me with some ideas so I don't waist time or money? Cheers Rich

The cheapest option for you is probably to simply get the foresight iPad app for $50 however if you are doing a full simulator setup you will want something better. Look into either TGC or Perfect Golf as probably your two best options. You could of course buy Foresight software although most people feel it is overpriced for what you get. Perhaps you can find a copy used to buy if you only care about the driving range and a course or two.

Perfect Golf hasn't been released yet so you need to try and get it in Beta and you need to verify what will work with your GC2 using third party software before taking the plunge. Of course, FSX works.

I just got a reply from par2pro, this is what they told me.

While it is possible to get the GC2 hardware integrated with the ProTee/TGC/E6 software, we do not normally recommend it as ProTee does not support the hardware or integration software AND you will also need to purchase a Foresight Sports SDK fee (available through us for $995 USD) or the FR+1 or FSX base software package in order to maintain any type of support for the GC2 only. Also the HMT does not work with the integration. In light of this we are unable to provide any guarantee on the integration.

All true and lots of people still using TGC with a GC2. You already have a gc2 so there is no SDK fee.
