I've been browsing this site for a week or so now and have decided to purchase a new GC2 with HMT. One thing that I find helpful is to see my swing from down the line and face on in a split screen mode. The PGA Superstore near my house has this software with their Aboutgolf simulators, but I'm not seeing any posts here about people having / using something similar along with their GC2. I like to be able to draw lines and analyze my swing and use V1 Golf on my iPad occasionally, but that isn't as nice a solution as doing it on the pc. Any suggestions?

Dual camera swing analysis software?

FSX does have camera integration that is stored with every shot but its only one camera view as far as I can tell. I have two cameras and it did not pick up the second. It does NOT let you draw on it, however. It would be nice if they supported two cameras so they could be stored with the actual shot. In my mind its not a full featured swing analysis in FSX.
I use cswing - its works pretty well but does not support USB 3 high speed cameras. I have been using Firewire cameras Front and Down the line with it.

Thanks, I'll check out cswing next. The camera abilities and ability to draw lines is an important factor to me, as I am working hard on correcting 30 years of poor technique.

From here I would suggest 9 feet behind for TM3. If I recall you suggested that you could move the unit back out of your room. If this is possible, then consider the following 1. Will being 12 feet from the screen cause you issues with you backswing and the back of your room, 2. Will there be anything that will interfere with the radar if the unit is outside of your main room. I am concerned that the later may give you issues, but note that a call to TM could clear this up and a request for a dem unit to ensure no issues will provide you with the feedback you need to make a decision. I fear you don't have the space, but it is worth exploring.
My final thoughts are to strive for TMs recommended distances as much as possible. I squeezed out as many extra inches as I could in my set up and am very happy with my results as I was able to just get 12 feet of distance from tee to screen on my drives (I have pretty good ball speed and low spin so I need the length for my drives to register and have no issues with my current set-up).
Thanks for the information. It's looking like I need to contain my room to 16' length, wife doesn't want to cut into the main game room area more than necessary. So I'm now back to Skytrak, GC2, or maybe aboutgolf as possibilities.
Here is the room I'll be working with.1 Photo

Just get a GC2. It works inside, outside and in any space. It's proven and works with lots of different software systems. There's no downside other than leftie righties. My Courses:

I have the GC2 + HMT with FSX and find it to be superior in data analysis to the other systems I've used (have not used TM4) as well as simulation. I'm considering adding a camera or 2 now, what camera system did you purchase and how is it working?Originally posted by abirdie4meThanks for everyone's input, I just pulled the trigger on the GC2. I still need to figure out the camera software setup, but I'm not in a big hurry for that.
