FSX Question: Drop ball anywhere on the course?

I thought I've seen some youtube videos showing this, but I can't figure out how...

Is there a way to drop the ball anywhere on a course/hole and practice that shot over and over? I see practice mode when you are in "Play", but I didn't see how to move the ball around.

I think you can only drop the ball when you are in the "improve" mode by right clicking on the mini-map. If in "play" mode, i think u can only practice the shot that you currently have and not move around.

I believe Yongchai is correct. In Play mode, wherever your ball lands, you can practice your shot from there as much as you like, but you cannot move it. The improve mode allows you to chose a course and place the ball anywhere via the minimap. It's nice to have practice in both modes though.
