How does this have left spin?

I'm trying to understand how path and face angle control side spin.

This shot is out to in (fade path) and the club face is open (fade face). How does the shot have left spin?

Bama, My understanding is the GC2 and HMT units work independently of each other and report there own numbers. Becuase this shot is very straight (49L spin) my guess is its within the margin of error or tolerance for the device. I have seen this on my unit as well with pretty straight shots. I have found that the gc2 ball flight curvature displayed is almost always right. Can ask foresight - but my guess is this is what they would say. Let me know if you find out anything else on this.

Could be slight gear effect? Looks like you hit it dead-nuts, and generally there's more gear effect on toe hits, but it could be a bit of a factor with a slightly open face at impact.

Its gonna be down to the lie angle being toe up, effectively closing the face and angle of attack being fairly steep meaning the path will be moving more outwards (right, assuming right hander)

When I hit hard pitch shots (75 yards) with my 7i my toe is 2-3 degrees up. When I hit full shots it is around 1 degree down. My clubs are bent 2 degrees up from standard.

Yup that makes perfect sense - the shaft wont have all the forces applied at slower speeds so there will be no bowing down through impact hence delivering toe up. Surely these shots aren't finishing very far/if at all offline with such small numbers anyways?

Thanks, I've been coaching with gc2 hmt for 18 months or so now so think I've got my head around most of it now. At first I was calling foresight all the time to explain the numbers but pretty much all makes sense nowadays. Any questions feel free to send em my way and I'll do my best to help out.
