Gc2 playing TGC... Crazy High Spin is this usual or bad settings ?

I recently played a few holes on TGC with GC2. I went to an indoor simulator that had the setup and they set me up on Magnolia/Augusta. On the first hole I kept spinning 50 yard wedge shots off the green. The first time I thought false front the next 3 times I hit it past the hole and it kept spinning off the front. I finally resorted to chipping with 6 iron. Is this normal? IRL my handicap is 1 so I feel like I know what shots should be doing when they land on greens. My question is how often does this happen ? Is it the course design ? Settings on the gc2 ? Settings on TGC ? I am close to pulling the trigger on GC 2 and TGC but the experience was awful. Any thoughts/comments ?

Unless you know the actual spin measured by the GC2 the rest is idle speculation.

I believe the highest spin rate was 9500. Most were around 7500. If this rendering of Augusta is true, #1 has a false front but the rest of the green is not severely sloped back to front. If this was #7 or # 9 it would make more sense.

Not normal. Someone could have turned the spin setting way way up causing this.
