    Foresight FR1 Software Question

I am a registered owner of FR1 with Foresight. If I got a new Windows 10 computer and needed to re-install Foresight, I thought I could download the FR1 software from Foresight's website since you still need the dongle to use it. Is this not true? I only see GC2 drivers on their website. My DVD from Foresight is dated 2012 so it's a little old and I am concerned it's missing some key win10 components.

Where do you get updates for the FR1 software after installing? Again, it seems i can update my GC2 firmware but I can't find software updates for the FR1 software itself. TIA.

    Foresight Sports FR1 Components v1.300:

Hightail Spaces lets you send unlimited files, of any size, to anyone. Collaborate with your team and evolve your work.

    1. Download from link above

    2. Copy the file to a flash drive

    3. Double click on file on destination computer to install

    4. Follow on screen instructions to proceed

To check the Software version# you have: enter the main menu of the software (play, practice, club fitting…) please check the first 4 digits in the bottom right corner. It should read v1.300… when all is completed.

Also please make sure in the main menu of the software under the ‘Options’ menu and then the ‘Game’ tab, that the option ‘Wait for Spin’ is selected and highlighted on.

(If you don’t have the password, it is generic and all lowercase: fss01011)

Thanks! Is this the full version of the software or just an upgrade, meaning if I have to rebuild again can i just launch this and put my CD in storage?

Also what is the issue regarding wait for spin? I read some prior posts about something similar after an upgrade, wasn't sure what this referenced.

That is the full version I used to load my new desktop which is running win10. The courses you have may not load into the new version. I honestly don't remember if I had to load them from my old computer. I did have to make a workaround for a few of the courses which Foresight no longer has such as Pebble and Spyglass. It isn't a big deal but Foresight tech can't tell you how to do it because they no longer license those venues. If you get into a jam with this send me a PM for instructions (if I remember how I did it). They will send you a link for those courses you have and they still have a license for.

The wait for spin just delays the sim ball flight output until the spin is calculated. It's no big deal since I can't really tell much difference in the initial ball flight with or without wait for spin. Maybe if you have severe side spin it makes some difference.

Hey Ron just wanted to clarify that I can install FR1 on multiple computers correct? As long as I have the dongle in whichever I'm currently using I should be good if I'm understanding what I'm reading.

Yes you can. It turns out that all you have to do is copy the Foresight folder from the program x86 folder on your computer to the program x86 folder on your other computers.

While your at it also move the Foresight Sports folder using the same methodology in case you don't have the necessary drivers etc on your other computers .

You may also want the latest FR1 install file if it doesn't already exist on your current computer. The latest and I think last version is 1.30.

Yes you do. The dongle is the security measure foresight uses to make sure that only those who should be using FR1 are using FR1.

No dongle, no FR1. That simple.

Message me if you want a dongle/software I have for sale with range and 15 courses.
