I will not bid on this one, but I am taking your advice on max bid this kind of unit should be. This could help me next time to be an happy owner

    Thanks a lot

First and foremost, the link you posted depicts a Flightscope X2. Your title indicates a GC2, as in the monitor manufactured by Foresight Sports. Two very different animals. I would research a little more and figure out the differences between the two, then determine what your needs & desires are from there.

Take your time & research this site. You'd be surprised how your expectations of what you're looking will change the more you explore and learn about this stuff.

Right?!? I started with a Skytrak, which was awesome. I never envisioned spending that kind of money! It's pretty cool stuff. I still have made some decisions on stuff recently that I wish I would've taken more time on & researched a little more. It's easy to jump the gun, which is crazy considering how expensive this all can be.

Yea I feel the same way, originally I said I don't think I would ever see myself spending that kind of money. But then I started to think, why wouldn't I. lol just gotta make sure I take my time and get the right thing.. If you did it again what one would you choose now GC2?

Oh, I think I misspoke (i am not fluent). I read all the thread for months about sims. And thanks to all members, I have a very good idea of what I want (GC2 is in top of the list if I can get a used one, more affordable).

My point with this thread is to start the "search time", and be able to pick up a good one. But I was asking with this exemple if its a good deal, in order to let me know if I press the button next time I see one ;-)

No worries. Just be sure you get what you're after.

This is is a GC2 and I'd highly recommend it:

Used GC2s lately have been hard to find so that one will probably go for close to $6k. New it was about $7500. Like most things it comes down to supply and demand. Most people consider buying simulators when winter gets close so demand will be rising. If you don't plan on using it with an ipad or iPhone you might save some money by buying an older one that isn't apple compatible. The serial number will have an "a" if it is apple compatible.

I think the cheapest one I saw sell last year on ebay was $2k but most of the good deals were about $4k. Lots sold around $4500 to $5k last year.

That is awesome I will be on the look out because I'm not sure if theres a huge quality difference between GC2 and Skytrak but something about GC2 makes me want that one over it maybe its the print outs on the actual device for when I am at the range...

I will sell my GC2 if you are looking for one. I bought it last year. Bluetooth works perfect. Used with both PG and FSX. Currently it has been sitting in my office collecting dust. Haven't used in months. I'd consider selling if the price was right.

Also, be careful with scams on eBay. Shopping there is very safe, as long as you deal through eBay/Paypal.

If a seller mentions that he wants you to contact him via e-mail, it is more than a red flag. This *IS* a scam, period. Most of these clowns will put their image address in a picture instead of as text. If you do business with a guy like that, you might as well just light your money on fire.

Also, if you see something being offered at way below market value, *there is a good sign that criminality is afoot*. This is true not only on eBay, but elsewhere in life.

It's one thing for a guy to have a buy it now that is 20-30% cheaper than the average they have sold for over the past three months. But when someone is selling something for <50% of the average, something is up. If it's not a straight out scam, the product like likely *hot*.

Summary: Use common sense when buying used. No transactions around eBay, nothing way below market value.
