FSX - what's included?

I remember looking at the FR1 software when buying my GC2... and ended up going with TGC instead.

I'm now considering FSX as I want some game improvement challenges etc.
You used to get a game for breaking windows, crazy putting and some target practice things.
Are these included in FSX?

I'm being motivated by an offer from Forsight to get the Hazledyne Ryder Cup course for free if I purchase before the 2nd October!
This will be the first step before buying the HMT.

My FSX doesn't include those mini games. There is a skills challenge. It's fun but I hate how you have to click OK after every shot. Just auto advance to the next shot or at least let me press enter instead of clicking ok.

Those games like breaking windows , targets, etc is part of the creative golf software that Foresight was or maybe still is selling. FSX has a long drive, closest to pin, and skills challenge.

Believe there is a demo of Creative Software that you can try out.

I had alot of fun playing closest to the pin on FSX until one of their updates screwed it up by only allowing you to play 200yards on the driving range (informed Foresight 2 updates ago but still no fix).

I also asked them to change the default leaderboard view to monthly (allows more movement on the leaderboard) instead of yearly (almost no movement on the leaderboards), but instead they changed the online leaderboard listing to only allow 1 entry per person, that means you are effectively competing against yourself instead the whole online community. What was once a great online addictive and competitive game has now become a boring add-on.

I would say stick with tgc for now or at least demo FSX (should be possible since FSX uses online validation, so they can just provide you a validation code that expires in 3-7 days, but its just a matter if they are willing to do it ) before buying.

Is the general consensus that FSX is not worth the $3000 price tag then?
It was the CG3 (creative golf 3D) that had all the challenges. It's still on Par2Pro's website, but has no price. I've emailed Cory and asked for the cost. I assume it'll still be something like $2000+ though and it doesn't work with HMT.

I don't know how many course you are getting in FSX for $3,000, but i think you can drive a harder bargain.

I wouldn't choose CG3 at $2,000 price point when there are other options available for cheaper with better graphics. If you want to play sim golf, go for either TGC or Perfect golf, if you have or plan to get hmt in the future, stick with FSX.

I was speaking with Ryan at Foresight, who will give me FSX with 4 courses (Teton Pines and 3 others) for $2599, and then any additional courses for the next 2 years at $89 each instead of the $155 RRP.

CG3 is $1500, and a pack of 10 courses is $500 from Par2Pro.

Dollars, as I'm in the US at the moment. The UK price is £2295 + VAT (£2754) for Teton Pines and Hazeltine as part of the Ryder Cup special offer. Sadly, there is no negotiating with Foresight UK!

Yeah I found the same with foresight uk, it's Dan from Judy platform by the way, we met a few months ago. I love the fr1 software but just want more courses now.

Hi Dan... how's it going? How did the hozel bender and projector mount work out?!

I took up Ryan at Foresight's offer and bought FSX plus 4 free courses - and then bought an additional 3 at $89 each. Hopefully 7 will keep me going for a while. I get 2 years worth of $89 courses before they jump back up to $155.

I'm just back from Best Buy where I purchased a Nvidia GTX1070, so hopefully I'll be able to crank the detail level up to max and get a decent frame rate.

I was was told that the FR1 course packs are $500 for 10 courses... so it's probably about £500?

Projector mount was spot on, haven't tried the hosel bender yet, I need a club bending vice first.
FSX does look good, I got the fr1 cheap second hand.
Could you pm me an email for your contact at foresight? Foresight UK sells large course packs for £1000, think that is the 10 course pack!!!!
