I bought a GC2!

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to justify the purchase of a GC2, but I had a watched item saved search on ebay, and one popped up early yesterday morning. I was able to get a fair price on it that shouldn't sting too bad, so I bought it. It came with FR1 with one course.

I'm pretty excited to get up and running, I don't think I'll have a projector as I'm setting it up in my non heated garage and only planning on heating it while in use, and I'm not sure how a mounted projector will stand up to -10f temps. I live in Maine so there will be some cold nights. The GC2 and laptop will be coming in the house, of course.

Anyhow, just thought I'd make a post as more will follow as I get set up (I'm sure I'll have questions.)

About what are you guys paying for used GC2's. How about new ones?

I don't know about -10F but 32F is fine. The projector generates a lot of heat when on so if it doesn't burn out the projection bulb when turned on it will not be cold very long. Mine even when it's cold in the garage keeps the cooling fan on fairly long after it's shut off. I do have heaters in the garage but it never gets much more then 55-60 on really cold days. I usually turn on the projector at the same time I turn on the heaters so it does experience cold starts.
