Broke the front "kick stand" off my GC2...

Thanksgiving alcohol may have been involved in the drop onto my concrete floor during a left hand player to right hand player drop, that said, I broke the front "kick stand" that keeps the GC2 level off the unit from a 2 foot drop. Does anyone know if this is an involved fix? Hopefully I don't need to ship it back to foresight.

    Thanks,

    Bob

oh your screwed yes it can be fixed but foresight will not sell you the part to do this and yes its 200.00 to do this but they will calibrate it for you but they will also go through and look at the other stuff on the top section since you might have scrambled something and that is 200.

Yeah, I broke mine in the first month of owning it. I didn't drop mine it broke opening the damn thing so I'm super careful opening/closing it now. I used gorilla glue for a little over a year and after 2 or 3 re-clues I sent it in for replacement. It was 178 plus shipping/insurance to Foresight. The 178 includes the return shipping so I think it was $150 for the repair.

Great. I don't mind the cash as much as the down time. I guess I'll send it in for this and the battery.

Mine was replaced by foresight Canada. I watched. It wasn't overly involved but you need the part.

Does anyone know if the Elevated Protected Cradle requires the use of this part? If not, buying that might be a good work around to make it through the winter before having to ship it in.

                  Yes it does.

Aside from that why not just make a shim for the front of the case to regain the height and stick it on with two sided tape so if you ever get the urge to have it repaired, removal would be easy.

2 stage plastic bonder seems to be doing the trick right now, I'm going to order the cradle and take it from there. Thanks guys!

The protective case is what he is talking about.....

damn man, I have been over babying mine.

one thing I am really excited about with joining the gc2 club is that everyone says how awesome (not cheap but awesome) foresight service is. I was worried I would be treated not great with golfsmith units, but they are getting I think a lot sent back to be gone through and being very cool and welcoming about it. Areoburner has had a lot of contact and could say more, but I am happy that foresight is treating the GS crowd like real customers. In some industries OEMs are not always as cool.

the metal cradle i have a spare BM11 if you are looking to buy one. From what foresight said to me there is not wait on the service list and if you send it in this will be a quick turn around Golf smith had some straggler machines that were not bought buy an investor but they did sell a bulk of them to one vendor, if these go overseas i really doubt that they will make it to foresight. so if your one of the lucky few that was able to get one to own congrats....
