  • E6 1.6 with the GC2

I know this has probably been answered somewhere before, but can the newest E6 1.6 software be integrated with the GC2? I also have the Golf Club, which means I have the protee interface and GSX, so I am wondering if it would read the data from the software just like the Golf Club and relay it to the GC2. $1600 is a bit of money to spend if it wouldn't work. Thanks in advance for any response!

P.S. I know this voids the warranty by going with a 3rd party software, but FSX is taking way too much time to develop interesting courses and the graphics stress the computer at times and shouldn't.

Yes it will work. You can use it through the Protee portal. I have used it before in the past.

Thanks bubs3141! Any additional thoughts on how it compares to TGC or FSX? The graphics look pretty good and they seem to have a better course selection than FSX. Any thoughts would help!

        Thanks again

IMO, E6 is feature rich but not as good as TGC. I can live without features and like the courses available which is why I like TGC. TGC also suites my eye better than E6, FSX or even JNPG. It may be I'm used to it as I'm a day 1 TGC user. Being able to create courses is nice as well.

Thanks mthunt! I find TGC to have the most photorealistic graphics among all as well. I have never played E6, but I like a lot of their courses they offer and the graphics look better than FSX. My only real problem with TGC is the course development seems to have slowed down a bit lately. For a while, there were designers churning out great protee friendly courses.

I could be searching wrong, but when I put in protee, it always comes up with the same pages of courses. Could definitely be my bad! I usually try to stick to courses in the 6500 range.

Some designers are holding their designs for TGC2. There still more coming out.

After speaking with Grant from Foresight, I am trusting his confidence and forward vision in FSX. He actually addressed issues I had about the future and reassured me that FSX is a main focus at Foresight. I do like the software and look forward to its future growth. It essentially comes down to me being a course junkie and loving options, which have grown since FSX inception. The convenience and wealth of information offered by FSX makes it a must for me to stick with the product. Yes, I still have TGC and what mthunt has said about TGC2 gives me great hope and leads me to think that E6 would be a bad investment for me.
