Hey guys I'm having difficulty understand where the HMT data would mostly be seen or used. I realize that the club data from the HMT is not currently integrated into TGC, but that you can use in FR1; is this just in a driving range or club fitting mode? Also, where is it available in the FSX mode? range, fitting, skills test, game play?

I'm just trying to work out whether or not the HMT purchase would be worth if for me based on where this information is available, i.e. which modes.

And as a follow up question how often are you using the HMT data and where?

You can run FR1 via USB while running TGC via Bluetooth as well if you like.

How would that work dongle to computer for blue tooth and cable to ipad say? Pardon my tech ignorance?

The dongle is to connect the Bluetooth on a gc2 to the PC. iPad has its own Bluetooth as does many PC's. You can connect to a PC via USB and Bluetooth at the same time.

You can select what is displayed on the GC2 as well. It will show HMT data (numbers) and the ball data. If you hook up the USB you'll need the software (FR1/FSX) as the display is disabled when USB is connected. I do this on a separate system and run the driving range if I'm interested in view the data while I'm playing.

How shank proof are the units?

I have the protective cradle on the GC2 and the HMT has a pretty think rubber front. Due to where it is located it would almost need a full 90 degree shank. Pretty unlikely although my kid managed to pop it once. Wasn't very hard.

You can connect it to FR1 but it's not necessary.
