  • Getting ready to pull the trigger on a used GC2 with no software, need help.

What are my options for software without breaking the bank? Some course play would be great, but this will primarily be used for practice, thus would like to have something with a good range. Anyone willing to sell FR1 that upgraded? I may be able to get a dongle? Thanks for the help.

I've done a bit of search on here and sounds like TGC is the way to go, but not sure what all is needed in addition to just having the GC2 and I heard the range play is not the best with TGC.

Have you read this about used GC2's

This is my second thread on the subject. My goal on this is to make this thread less of a rant and more of a discussion on their current policy which I believe

Yes, and I called them today to talk about options. I'm not concerned about not getting their support, as the batteries and flash units can be rebuilt. Drivers, firmware, and calibration can be downloaded. I just trying to figure out the best software option for the used market.

I'd say TGC hands down for software.

Anything needed, or just the GC2 and a copy of TGC?

That's it. You will get gsx with the software. That will allow it to work. Oh you need a good Bluetooth adaptor. Check out the foresight posts on this site.

If you want the Foresight software, call Par2Pro.

Foresight direct will give you deals that Par2Pro can't compete with.

I have the gc2 and tgc and protee software. There is a cool range on tgc that you can use its called protee sunday range. what you do is enable the auto rewind on the settings . you go into the game then once it starts hit the esc on you computer . Scroll down to the auto rewind to enable it and thats it. you now have a full range to utilize. It awesome, I don't even use the protee software. Just the tgc... The graphics are by far the best... Aeroburner has some gc2s that he got back from foresight just recently from being tuned up. So they are ready to go. consult with him I'm sure he will work with you. By far the best set up. Many of us have it or have upgraded to it. good luck..

There's an auto rewind button. Just click R on your keyboard.

JNPG right now is $250/year. I think you also need to buy the version on steam one time at $35.00 or so. You need to have someone help with your registration I believe. It seemed like too much of a process, just to get started. Not a big fan of renting software, but I have heard great things about it from other people. If there is ever an option out there like TGC, I would look into it. Big fan of trying out all types of sim software.
