Looking at youtube vids, the FSX graphics look rather dull to say the least. Am I correct in thinking that graphics vise FSX would be inferior to E6 and the best of all three TGC?

As far as graphics go, at this point in it's development, I would say that it isn't as great as E6 or TGC. However, it is the only one besides Creative Golf and FR1 that you can technically use with Foresight's support. FSX works seamlessly with the GC2 and it was designed specifically for it. If you are looking for data, FSX all the way! The newer courses that Foresight has put out are looking much better than when it was initially released. They have been working a lot on textures of the grass and trees since it was first introduced. They are updating it periodically, and it all has been for the better.

You do need a very strong graphics card to utilize their engine though............If you don't have a Nvidia Geforce 980 or above, it might not work so smooth.

I'm running FSX on a GTX1070, and it runs flawlessly. The courses are all getting better looking as time goes on as Foresight update them. If graphics are what you're after, and are most important - then go with TGC.
I recently got FSX as I feel TGC is very arcade like. I haven't played TGC since (4 months) as I prefer playing FSX. It doesn't look as crisp, but I prefer the usability and playability of it.
All the courses are designed for simulation use, and I can select my tee box. I honestly don't think I'll ever use ProTee or TGC again.

Can you please explain more what you mean by usability and playability? Arcade like?Originally posted by p3eps View PostI recently got FSX as I feel TGC is very arcade like. Not possible to select different tee's in TGC?
I´ve just seen the one course that comes with the FSX software and the practice range. Seeing an E6 and FlightScope practice range in comparison, I thought graphically the FSX was worst. E6 graphics I think are decent, but plenty of cons to the software. Not possible to use with GC2, online tournaments are scarce, practice range session data doesn't upload online(like a FS TM range session would do), no live weather updates...

You can use E6 with a GC2 if you own ProTee I think?
TGC is essentially an xbox / PS4 / PC game that has been converted to allow input from a launch monitor. A lot of the 100,000 courses are ones that users have created themselves.
You can't select which tee box you're playing off like in a real game of golf. You're at the mercy of the course creator as to how long you're playing. Some courses have ProTee at the end of them, which means the user has optimised them for using on a sim - and sometimes you'll find a course 3 times... as 6300yds / 6500yds and 6800yds - as that's how the course creators get round the non selectable tees.
Personally I feel that FSX is a much more finished product as a golf simulator.
