NEED HELP! GC2/TGC Question for new user

I posted this earlier today in the general area, but thought Id try it here seeing that I haven't had any replies, and it has to do with the GC2. I would't think this would be a hard question, but maybe I'm just way off on what I'm asking. I'm looking at purchasing either a Forsight GC2, or Par T sim in the next week or two. The biggest issue for me with the Forsight is the fact that you have to buy the HMT unit to get some of the "good" club head readings, which is another $7,000.

One of the things I'd like to do once Im all set up is do some shaft fittings for friends, hintz the need for good club head readings. I'm also planning on purchasing the TGC software.

So here's my question..While watching some of the youtube videos on the TGC webpage of live TGC tournaments, a couple of people were using GC2's WITHOUT the HMT camera's, but after every shot they made, the swing data that appears on the screen had spin rates, club path, launch angles and club face open/close. I thought you had to have the HMT to receive that kind of data from the GC2, or does the TGC pick it up from the machine? And if so, would it be accurate? I could be wrong about what exactly the GC2 picks up without the HMT, but if it did pick-up that kind of info, what would the point of buying the HMT?

If this question is dumb as hell, or doesnt make any sense, fell free to let me know! lol I'm sure ill have many more questions, but this one is really bothering me!

All the ball numbers are measured and are highly accurate. The club data is calculated and I am not sure if it's accurate at all. I really haven't paid much attention to it. It certainly has no idea about the gear effect. I dont think it can know smash factor either.

while club data is useful, ball data has been used for club fittings are most big box retailers for years. I think most of them use the gc2 for their fittings.

Like Stingray said the GC2 gives all ball data points which is what you need for club fitting. The HMT gives all club points. Together they are killer but you don't need club data to fit. TGC's post shot screen shows all ball data points and club data points. With the GC2/TGC all club data points are calculated somewhat. They are not accurate. The HMT does not integrate with TGC
