  • Sharing a recent discovery

Hey all. Just wanted to share something that I discovered the other night when hitting balls in the garage. I prefer to use the E6 driving range as it is nicer looking and I think it usually provides more accurate distances; however the downside is that it does not provide all the parameters that the Garmin app provides. What I did not realize is that as the Garmin app is running in the background it is still capturing the information. Therefore if I leave the Garmin app display on the ‘Ball Impact’ display and I then switch over and hit on E6 I can just swipe back and forth on the ipad to see the additional numbers that are not provided on E6. Mainly I like to see attack angle and club path. The odd thing is that if you are using E6 and switch back over to Garmin app the distance numbers are not provided. Not sure why.

Hope that makes sense and is useful to someone else.

    Cheers.

Interesting. That's also my main reason for not using the e6 range but I also agree the e6 algorithm seems to be more accurate to my distances then the Garmin one. I'll try that out.

pdwire123 - Is that what you're finding... I've tried that a little bit, but the biggest problem for me is projection image is not wide screen on E6 - on iPad and I like being able to make selections on an iPad way easier than iPhone... but, now that I've gone from iPhone 7 -> iPhone 14 , I could see that being the best option for e6 and will likely give it a try this weekend.

scelebre - did you see the same 40% sidespin errors on e6 that you see in the Garmin App?
