Garmin r10 and app with Android TV box?

Does the r10 and Garmin golf app only work with a mobile device? (I use android)
has anyone ever tried to connect the r10 to an android TV box via Bluetooth? And download the Garmin golf app from the playstore?

I only have a phone and thought this might be another option.

I realized the android box I got in a package deal doesn't have Bluetooth, so it wouldn't connect to the r10 anyways.

I can't get my Chromecast to work with the projector, so I might try a new android box w/Bluetooth and see if that works.
