I thought I would start a thread on the Golfjoy simulator company. They are by no means new to the industry but their presence in the North American market is new. I had a chance to speak with the company execs today and it was very impressive and informative. At this point they offer high end overhead full setup and a ground based GC3 like photometric unit. They are working to expand and allow for an overhead unit alone purchase for the majority of us DIY'rs. Here is their website....https://www.golfjoy.com/collections/all
The unit is very similar in looks to the Optishot Ballflight. They did partner with Optishot which was offering the Optishot Ballflight.
There are some reviews out there but it's scant.
I would suspect their biggest sales will be their ground based unit the Golfjoy GDS plus. I would put it in the same category as the Eye Mini/BLP/GC3/Skytrak etc. Now whether it will be as accurate or offer as much data is left to be seen. I am hoping to get a unit to test it against these other products and report back to you. The price certainly seems great and the software has great graphics. Here are a few things we discussed today re the unit:
1. 2 high speed camera technology with infrared
2. Ball and club data 29 data points
3. Works with non marked balls
4. Comparable with third party software like E6, TGC2019 and GSPro
5. Club marking needed for club data
Hopefully this will create some discussion and I will let you know if I can get a unit to test.
