GS pro announcement

I was going to sign up for GS pro on my GC3, but wasn’t too excited about the process for connecting it to GS pro. But just saw the announcement at the pga show. Should I just wait for the official integration or just go ahead and sign up?

Sadly yes, one specific piece of software has been deemed "unmentionable". There was a post a while back which explained the rationale - I tried to search for it but cannot find it. IIRC there were allusions of spamming and some anti-competitive behavior from the software but I cannot validate this personally.

If indeed this outlaw software is merging with FSX Play, one might think this policy will need to be re-examined but I will leave that to the mods.

We will see Trackman filled a lawsuit against GS Pro basically saying they stole their software and reversed engineered it. Let’s see what foresight does now.

What makes you think that? I guess people don't install Aboutgolf, HD Golf, Full Swing, or even any professionally installed GCQuad or Hawk setup either? Is it price or size requirement? Either of those are not a barrier for a significant portion of the market.

Ok let me rephrase. Those that are using GSP would not be using trakman to being with

Again, not sure that's even remotely accurate. A lot of Quad owners could comfortably be TM owners if they were so inclined - I'd venture to say that many of us were deciding between the two when looking at devices. GSP has my attention if/when I start using my device for actual sim play.

This was announced in January as a Q1 release. It is almost September. I can’t find anything official beyond the original press release. Anyone have intel on where Foresight is in this process?

I am sure most know, but the official integration is live. License conversion is available through the GS Pro website. I have done this with my Quad and am happy with the result (really seamless and one less thing to open). It is now a one button click to open up GS Pro. Discord has a lot of discussion on this topic if you want further.
