  • 1080i BenQ and 4k TV

Ok I finally got GSPRO and pumped but when I paired up the picture on the Projector and 65" TV I came to my disappointment when the system downgrades the 4k to whatever the projector is. So my MW824ST Benq is max 1080i not P so can't have clear picture mirrored on tv cause has to be cropped and 1080i (720p) looks cheap on a 4k tv. If I don't hook up projector GSPRO recognizes 4k and my God the 65" looks amazing.

So I want to know is there any way to have the GSPRO screen on both the projector and TV but have the tv stay it's 4k image or only way is to now spend thousands more for 4k projector??

I have seen several threads over the years (most on PC building forums) that try to show work arounds to suggest its possible, but I have never been able to make any of them work. I tried extensively. I have a 4k TV off to the side that normally I mirror from the projector image, unless my garage is in full sports bar mode, in which case I extend the display so I can throw a game on the TV. I bought a 4k projector and sold my standard 1080 projector. I have zero regrets. The improvement of the simulator screen was quite noticeable, but you need a gaming rig that can run it. If your PC handles the 4k TV, no reason it shouldn't. There are definitely 4k Projectors for under 2k. Mine was right at 2k.

Do you specifically need to mirror the projector and 4K tv? You could just use “extend” the tv as another screen instead. If you’re worried about seeing the data from GSPRO you can use the “launch advance” section of the interface and having it displaying on the 4K tv.
