  • GSPro Open Connect to Retrieve Player Handedness

    Hey all,
I recently upgraded to the ProTee VX and have it mounted on a sliding track overhead so I can slide it over about 2ft to accommodate both RH and LH players in my sim. It's currently on a simple pulley system and works fine, except when we forget to move it over...which is just about every time.

I'd like to automate the movement via some sort of motorized lever/actuator; but before I get to that I'm trying to figure out the software side. I have a small application that I'm trying to read the output for Player Info>Handedness, but I'm not getting any messages. I'm monitoring for JSON messages on port 9050 on 127.0.0.1; but not seeing any messages.

Anyone ever try to do this, or know what IP/Port the GSPro Connector uses when configured to work with the VX? I'm thinking I'm maybe monitoring the wrong port. Port 0921 doesn't seem to be accessible, which is what they mention in their documentation.

Yes - I know I could buy SimRail and save myself the hassle....but I'm cheap and like the engineering/build challenge.
Working...
