Much like the SkyPro app it would be very, very cool if the R-Motion app would have just a simple screen (maybe as part of the interface app) that would just show all the club/ball data for a single shot. Right now it shows the accelerometer values (for diagnostics I imagine) which made me think of this idea. Much like the LCD readout on a GC2/GCQuad it would be a cool feature to have just a single shot stats displayed (separate from a sim game environment).

Of course an R-Motion iPhone app doing this as well would be killer! I could see taking my R-Motion to an outside range with my iPhone and really getting some good club/ball data feedback and stats. Show the data on an Apple Watch and I'd be in golf range nirvana!

Well I just received my R-motion golf yesterday soI haven't had a chance to set it up. I have a Zepp Golf swing analyzer which acts very much like the R-motion sensor. Both are small accelerameter, gyroscope. bluetooth microcontrollers. The Zepp is a phone app for Android or iPhone and pretty much gives all of the measurements of your swing, swing plane. The Zepp has some excellent tutorials and instruction built into the device and makes it a great golf improvement tool. There are a lot of these devices out there, Epson makes one that mounts to the club like R-motion. There are some button size ones that plug onto the end of the golf handle. So for R-motion it would just be a matter of refitting a swing analysis app for their sensor. (easier said than done I suspect). I was hoping that one of these companies would opensource a program for reading these sensors. The info could certainly be useful for measuring other functions besides golf.

The thing that got me interested in the R-motion was the software. I've had an optishot setup for about 2 years now and It's been pretty fun and I've enjoyed the courses and practice features but I wanted to try something a more realistic. I have some high expectations for the software. My question is can the software read all of those 10000+ course and free courses that other TGC software indicates? I guess I'll find out soon enough.
