I've had the Rmotion for about 6 months now and thought an updated review would be in order. I came from the Optisgot and was one of the lucky 10 to receive the Rmotion for free. When I first received the Rmotion I really enjoyed it. I thought it was head and shoulders a much better experience than the Optishot. My opinion hasn't changed 6 months later. Early on my biggest complaint was the clips that were used to attach the sensor to the clubs. They have since beefed up these clips and I haven't had one break since they did this. I still believe there is a better idea out there to attach the sensor to the club but with these new clips it has really now become a non-issue. Rmotion has went through a few growing pains but I think any reasonable person would expect this with a new product. They have shown a real interest in trying to improve the software by releasing several updates over the last few months. The last update among other things has now allowed for hybrids to be added to the clubset. I have had some issues with the Rmotion. The first unit I had worked great but the door/lid popped open. Rmotion did not hesitate in sending me a new unit. They identified that there was a flaw in the glue method and have since corrected the problem. However, the replacement unit they sent would not take a charge after using it a few times. They again worked with me and ended up sending me another unit. This is the one I'm currently using. I still think the data you get is pretty good and fairly accurate. It's only reading club data so spin numbers are just calculated/guessed but I think it shows a pretty good representation of my golf shot. I have been fighting a very bad hook lately and the Rmotion shows about same thing as I'm seeing on the course. I say about because my hook is a little worse IRL than the Rmotion shows but still pretty close. I'm currently having some issues related to no-reads. I think it may be related to the latest update but still working that out. I've been using almost golf balls and it doesn't seem to be picking up the shots very well with this new release. I'm still troubleshooting and I'm sure it will get sorted out. I had some issues with earlier software versions where the putting was way too sensitive. Sometimes it would put the ball without me taking a stroke. That seems to be taken care of with the newest update but possibly went the other way in regards to sensitivity. Just speculation at this point. So after 6 months I would still highly recommend the Rmotion as a low end golf simulator. I'm sure the accuracy is nowhere near the better, more expensive simulators but for a budget simulator that I believe will help you improve your game and keep your swing grooved during the off season, I would highly recommend. In my opinion it is much better than the Optishot. This isn't intended to bash the Optishot either. I enjoyed mine and got some great practice from it. I just think the Rmotion is better. Last note is the support from Rapsodo has been outstanding. Always getting back to me promptly with any questions or concerns I have had. Here is a video I made a few month back for those that may have missed it. Some have commented with questions that I tried to answer.
