I just saw that rapsodo is charging $99 for 10 additional clip ons. I can see they(the company that brought us the skytrak) are stick with the business model that sells you a product and then bleeds you dry before you can really use it unimpeded by built in limitations of the product.

I think it’s a pretty good deal to be honest. You can get the start up kit for $250 then the $100 for the additional clips.

That is $50 more than the opti-shot which I find to be complete crap accuracy wise. Let alone the fact you need to have proper lighting and sometimes tape the bottom of your club to get a swing reading. Oh yeah and you are basically hitting off a piece of plastic.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some pretty fun drunken nights with the optishot but there’s almost no point for it to show you swing feedback.

I can’t vouch for r-motion as of yet though I plan on purchasing it next Spring unless something better comes along.

My set up will be outside on my porch featuring a CCE Real Feel Mat, Rukket Haack Golf Net, and an iPad including an app that lets me control and view my PC over WiFi.

R-Motion with the additional clips is down to $299.99 on Amazon. I may just pull the plug early.

Ha, yeah my posts do seem like an advertisement but are not. Besides, like I said I don’t own it (although it is on its way from Amazon) and I could end up not being satisfied with the product.

I won’t be able to test out it for a while since it’s winter here in Michigan. My buddy has his optishot set up in his garage so I could always install the software on his computer and try it out there.

My only concern is if you can install the software on two computers. Probably not but I’ll need to look into that.

I’m also not 100% sure if what I bought from amazon has the old clips or new clips. I read a post from a while ago and someone from rapsodo said they were indeed the new clips, so hopefully that is the case.

I recently purchased the R-motion, and have it set up in my garage. I have a Net Return Pro, with their mat, for now it's just played through a 55 in UHD tv. If you spend the time setting it up (There is a really good post on this in the TGC section), then it is pretty accurate. Putting is really accurate as well. Just have fun with it, for a low cost!

The new clips work very well. I've had no issues at all with them, and have used this a lot. I bought the extras, it's nice to have them on all my clubs.
