  • App Not Detecting Dongle

    Anyone have any advice on getting the R-Motion app to recognize the dongle is connected?

    I have been using R-Motion with no issues since installing things 2 weeks ago. I played last night with no problems. This morning when I tried to play, the App will not detect the dongle (shows red X). My PC does detect the dongle and I have made sure the driver is updated. I have tried moving the dongle to different USB ports. I also tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling.

    Any thoughts?

    I have had that happen a couple of times. Each time I have just shut down the r-motion program and it worked just fine when I opened it back up.

      I am back up and working now. I tried all the usual stuff...Close and reopen the app, reboot the computer, move the dongle to another USB port, make sure there weren't multiple instances of server.exe running.

      The fix was turning off the Windows Defender Real Time Protection. A little weird since it has worked fine since I installed things 2 weeks ago.

          Forgot about this thread and this happened to me again yesterday. Did the normal stuff. Shut down and reopened Rmotion, checked for multiple server.exe running, moved dongle and restarted. Couldn't get it to detect. Finally it showed two server.exe running. I closed them both and it started working. Wish I remembered this thread. I would have tried shutting off windows defender. I also have been running into some other issues. After extended periods, I start getting a delay of about 3 seconds from time ball is hit until it shows on screen. This is much longer than normal. Usually around a second or less. I also notice I lose the commentary in TGC when this happens. This seems to be happening frequently for me.
