  • Angle of Attack / Shaft Lean

Is there anyway to get or derive shaft lean or angle of attack from the golf club when using r-motion golf?

I wrote this question to the r-motion support and they just responded with a picture of the shot summary screen. I understand that it doesn't show it on that screen, but it seems like r-motion would need to measure shaft lean and understand angle of attack to be able to figure out launch angle?

I have no idea on R-Motion, but I know Skypro will give you the numbers your looking for.

I've been wondering the same actually. Launch angle is a result of two things. The Dynamic loft and attack angle. R-motion should be able to pick that up from the club. Would be intresting to see Rapsodos raw-data from the unit.

Isn't there a way to send raw data to Rapsodo? Maybe they can give us a way to see that data. Any reps from Rapsodo wondering around these forums?

Hello. We are indeed measuring several other parameters however we do not display them. We have a top level plan to make R-Motion more appealing to the players. As part of that effort we can consider adding these measurement results. Pls stay tuned.

Rapsodo Any news you can give us on this matter? I'm using Excel to plot my shot history but it would be great to get them in game.

Here's a picture showing, Launch Angle-to-carry and club speed-to-carry As well as direction-carry.
It's visualisation like this on the combined set of shots that i'm looking for.

We won’t be able to provide any dates other than something in the works and pls stay tuned. We are also working on addressing issues raised by various people such as grey out button etc.

Was reading through this thread and was thinking, it's def measuring it, just not displaying it....and then I see where RMotion responded in similar fashion. I know this as I can hit a 56 degree wedge several ways. The one thing I wish was that it measured how it begins relative to how it ends....

I can't open my wedge up and make it a 60, it just thinks that's "square" to the line. However I can set up square and then in a very weird motion open at impact (very hard to do) and it respond as it it was right a bit and 60 deg of loft. (I'm a righty)

I look forward to the Android/iOS apps that will give us "some info" I know it's not super accurate but fun to look at. If nothing else, it's fairly "consistent" if not accurate.

Thanks for a great product! Just picked mine up this week...
