I thought I would share that I did send a PM to ProTee and they did confirm that if you have the full license of TGC for R Motion you will receive the free upgrade to TGC 2019!

FWIW - I downloaded and demoed E6 yesterday. I kind of liked how it looked...the demo course was really nice and I'm sure the real world courses they have are really high quality. It had a TON of game modes which would be fun...however, I really didn't like the game play experience near as much as TGC. I'm pretty happy for the most part with TGC as it is...I mean there are some things about it that I absolutely HATE, but overall it is a great sim and I enjoy it very much.
My sim build was definitely a long term investment so I am happy to wait a while longer to have what sounds like will be an incredible sim experience with TGC 2019.

I find that graphically the one thing that I like much better with TGC vs E6 is the 3D image that TGC produces. I like how you can tell where fairway switches to rough and how realistic that looks when compared with E6. I am hopeful that this will be corrected with E6 connect but am sadly not holding my breath too much.

I agree about E6. It's a little different in how it plays, and it does have some nice modeling. There is one thing in TGC that annoys me, is that as you approach the how, the distance to hole, elevation and and arrow all point to the hole; which if your in site of the flag is right smack in the middle of the screen; in BIG FAT WHITE ON BLACK LETTERS. This in addition to the aiming circle which can be turned off. Is there anyway to turn the all of that stuff? A magic registry key or anything? When your standing 7ft (2m) from a 12ft wide screen, those numbers are like right in your face.
Since you mentioned E6, I saw that Protee has a configuration file that will run E6 instead of TGC for the (it think) protee. I was wondering if a similar option could be done for Rapsodo's R-motion?

Excellent! This seals the deal for me. Since I picked up the R-Motion back in January, I have been on the fence regarding purchasing the full TGC license. A free upgrade path to TGC 2019 makes it an easy decision.Originally posted by HeMan View PostI thought I would share that I did send a PM to ProTee and they did confirm that if you have the full license of TGC for R Motion you will receive the free upgrade to TGC 2019!

I found out with some exploring that there is a way to turn off the HUD in the "Game Camera Settings" of TGC (F10). I'm still not sure how to make it a permanent feature. Is there a TGC configuration file somewhere that has the camera settings in them?Originally posted by Chuck View PostI agree about E6. This would def. put me over the fence as well. I know RMotion isn't as accurate or good as SkyTrak or others but the price is much better all around. $300 for hardware and $500 for software rather than $2,000 and $1,000 plus yearly fees!
Is this an official announcement somewhere where we can hold someone accountable? Or is this just a support person and their opinion?
BTW is 2019 what they are calling Version 3 of TGC? I have TGC1 and 2 and will buy v3 when it comes out I'm sure. To confirm though we are currently on v1 and there is not an option/path to go to v2, but will be for v3?
