Gimmies and Rules Questions

Trying to figure out the best setup for gimmies. I'd like to putt the first putt and hopefully I can get it within say 3-5 foot or so and then gimmie. What I've tried doesn't seem to work well.

Seems like I want Distance as rule and then setup the distance. What are the distance numbers in....yards? feet?

Any thoughts on how to set this up properly?

If you set Gimmie on TGC it's 7 feet (2 Meter) . That's what we use for the tournaments too.

Technically it’s 6ft or 1.8 meters.

So to be clear, since there are several options. I set to "Gimmie" not "Distance" and the +1 and +2 dials should be set to what?

The +1 and +2 dials don't impact the 'Gimme' election. When you select 'Gimme' anything inside the 6ish foot range you don't have to putt. Anything outside the 6ish foot range you need to putt.
