We NEED a putting and chipping mode/course!

We really need a course/mode that is just short chips to green or ball randomly on the green for putting. For all the times we only want to do that or more importantly a lack of space for full shots!!
I don’t think it would be a big deal to add a course or 2 for short game and putting.

I agree... you could play a round and repeat shot i.e. chip or putt. Not a 100% solution, but a work around.

I agree..... however you have to be aware that you should not finish some of these courses as it may mess up your stats. I finished a putting course and now I have 13 hole in ones. Same goes for some of the crazy courses. I played one with super high elevated tees ( like 200+ feet above the green). I made the mistake of finishing that course as well. So now my longest drive is 400 yards. It would be nice if we could zero out certain stats.... or have certain courses not count towards stats.. In the meantime, just don't finish the course

Exactly it's a simple workaround they could easily implement.

Search for mthunt and play the round. I thought it was more of a range, but he's set it up to PLAY like you mentioned. Once you get to a hole you want more practice on, set the auto rewind and practice. There is putting, chipping mid holes (I think) etc..

I'm not following what you mean by "regular" version. Are you talking about the PC/CONSOLE version...if so..wrong forum (check out the forums over here: http://thegolfclubgame.com/). What I understand is ProTee takes the official game, with features and gameplay and enhances it with the SIM stuff. Not saying something couldn't be added by ProTee maybe..but likely not. A true RANGE was developed and implemented in the official TGC v2 but that is not on the sim yet. We will be getting 2019 (ie v3) when released. I'm sure there will be range there... *shrug* let me know if I'm missing something.

I am talking about the non-$500 full course with course editor version, the basic R-motion package. There is not an 18 hole for putting and not and 18 hole for chipping. That's what was being discussed. Thanks

Ah I see, wasn't clarified on org. post. As I remember there is a driving range that is mthunt something. I think it's setup similar to what you want if you play through some holes. I may be mistaken, but check it out if you haven't .

There is the mthunt driving range included with the 15 course package and you can putt and chip as many times as you like. You can auto rewind any shot you wish. The 15 course pack is a locked packaged included with the R Motion so they can't (and shouldn't) add anything to that if it would take away from a full course. There are plenty of pitch and putt courses in the full version.

It will be interesting to see how Rapsodo handles this when the move is made to TGC 2019. Will the standard 15 course pack on a new purchase of R Motion have TGC 2019 software or will it still be TGC1 software? If it is TGC 2019, will there be an option (at a cost) to update to the new version or will users be left with TGC1?

It has been mentioned officially on this forum that paid users of TGC1 will receive TGC 2019 SIM version for FREE a few months after initial release! It's a great reason to upgrade now and feel comfortable with the future!

I'm not talking about hard workarounds, I'm talking about the moment you open the course it solves your problem-hence- A putting course and chipping course. They don't have them available. So when you want to just do those, you can.

Could be added I'm sure. Just add two more courses to the standard 15 I guess. *shrug* In 2019 I'm sure it will all be different as there will be an official RANGE you can go to directly. I'd highly suggest buying the full version if you can, you will get the 2019 version for free and you'll be set for a couple of years, this year and next, for $500

Another thing to think about is what the mobile app is going to offer in terms of practice. This could solve your problem for a quick practice session for any shot type.

Definitely cool but still the full Sim version is way more immersive and most likely more stats too.
