Hello Everyone,

I just got my r motion set up for use today and played my first round. For some reason every shot with either driver, wood or hybrid cane off incredibly low and distance was low. All of my irons launched normal with reasonable distance. Has anyone else encountered this? Does anyone have any tips/tricks to help with this? It got to the point where I would just hit 5 iron for a tee shot bc it was going 30+ yards further in the Sim.

Also, is there a way to adjust the yardage’s it’s predicting for each of my irons?

you can try and adjust the length lie of those clubs in the rmotion app, the yardage in the corner means nothing its just an average, same as the chip, flop settings they are left overs from the regular PC game. Takes a bit of fiddling but once you have its pretty decent

This is probably a cause by the adress. The R-motion zero’s out starting to measure When you hold for 1 sec at adress. That point is the point of reference for the calculation.

I realize know that this was hard to explain.

My hands are pretty far forward at address when I swing, do you think that could be causing part of the problem?

I would have guessed the opposite. That when you setup your either normal to laid back a bit...and then at impact you have a decent amount of shaft lean forward. Could be that your clubs inside RMotion app have got screwed up, check the loft of the woods and the length they are set too. You are able to make adjustments to these numbers a bit at a time and increase decrease your distances from what RMotion calculates. If you need to adjust the loft higher than a normal amount to get a good trajectory and it goes similar to what you see in real life that could be an option for you. Hope you enjoy it...it's a lot fun!

Hey everyone, I’ve been tweaking but have had no improvement. I’ve tried everything I can think of, teeing it up higher, higher in my stance etc. I’ve also adjusted the lengths and went way up on the loft in the club settings. I wasn’t able to get the clip all the way to the grip. Should I take a chance and try to force it higher? Would exaggerating the length one way or the other help? Any other tips are greatly appreciated

The R Motion estimates launch angle so where on your club face you hit the ball will not matter (in terms of teeing it up higher). Make sure you have set the lofts of your clubs correctly. Do NOT force the clip onto the club shaft. My clips sit well below my grip on both my driver and my 3W. You just have to measure from the bottom of the clip down the shaft to the floor.

Do you generally have a low ball flight or high ball flight? I personally think TGC displays the ball flight low for what I normally would hit. Also, how short are your shots coming up with your driver/3W? Are you including roll out or are you just looking at carry distance? You can tweek the shaft lengths until you get a more realistic distance. What is the club head speed when you swing, is it normal? Try to increase the input for shaft length all the way to the grip (regardless of where the clip sits) and go from there.

Yeah I’ve measured from bottom of clip to the floor. The ball flight is much much lower than normal. On r motion I’m getting launch angles of 5-7 deg and in real life I’m closer to 14. I’ve changed my loft of the club way up with no change. The distance is obviously affected, in r motion I’m carrying about 200 and rolling out to 220ish, as in real life my carry is closer to 270 with total of 280.

It’s always possible you have a faulty unit. Are you putting the sensor in correctly? I have put mine in upside down before. When I put the clips on, I wet the shaft first. It helps to slide the clips all the way to the top.
